At University of Waterloo, I worked in the Cooperative and Experiental Education department. I led the end-to-end production of video content that told real stories of co-op students, alumni, and employer partners. My role involved everything from scripting and storyboarding to filming, editing, and motion graphics. I worked with a range of footage—remote interviews, in-person shoots, animation, and archival content—to craft videos that resonated across digital platforms. These pieces supported recruitment, engagement, and internal storytelling efforts, helping bring the impact of experiential education to life through compelling, human-centered visuals.

In 2023, I supported the Video Specialist in covering the World Association for Cooperative Education (WACE) global conference hosted at the University of Waterloo. Over the course of the week, I assisted with capturing keynotes, breakout sessions, and candid conference moments, contributing to both live and post-event media content. My responsibilities included camera operation, on-site setup, sound checks, and media management. The experience gave me hands-on exposure to event videography at scale, strengthened my technical workflow, and deepened my understanding of how to tell cohesive stories across a multi-day event.

In this position, I also had the opportunity to attend interviews with individuals and companies that were recognized as stand-out employers, they would go on to win Employer Impact Awards. At these interviews, I would capture the B-Roll as well as assist with preparing the set, as well as teardown.

The University of Waterloo also hosted Employer Information Sessions, where employers would come to campus and speak to students about their comapnies, so that they can make face-to-face relationships with their potential employers. I was tasked with covering a few of these events, to showcase the sessions, and promote it for other students.

Many of these videos had social media reel components, where I created social media content for vertical reel platforms
